It is Complete!
Just wanted to do a little dance of joy...
Based on the fact that they are being sold so cheaply (about as much as any other TV-DVD set), the fact that few good DVDs have come out in a while and my "Happy Daddy Fund" was therefore piling up, and some news that I can't quite share yet...
...I bought the last two XF DVD sets that had yet to be in my collection.
And thus, after 4 1/2 years (S1 was my first DVD purchase!), I finally own the entire freakin' XF series on DVD!
It's actually the last collection I want to complete right now. The Trek sets are way too pricey; besides, most of them will come out again on HD-DVD in a few years, so why not wait another 10 years for the kids to catch up? LOL! The sets for "Buffy", "Angel", "Babylon 5", "24", "Alias", "Roswell", "Smallville"...they were all spaced out and cheap enough for us to afford over the years, and they made easy gifts for holidays and what not.
So...this is a milestone of sorts. Perhaps appropriately, I also finished reading the last of the 12 "History of Middle Earth" books, which I started almost two years ago, after having them on my shelf for so long. With that, I have officially read every book related to Tolkien and his thoughts on his own creation. It was quite a lot, and in a way, I'm sad to see it end. (Time to re-read LotR!)
Anyhow, we needed to splurge a bit, after last week! We're going to take Brenna to the movies or something this weekend (maybe a Daddy/Daughter thing for Sunday), just to give her something special for all she's endured (she missed her first pool party, damn it!), and our new roof is going up later in the week as well. I have that other news that I cannot mention until closer to the end of the month, too!
