Health Update

Just wanted to take a break from the reading and writing (I'm slowly working back to my normal reviewing/writing speed, after the whirlwind of May sweeps) to let everyone know how Brenna's doing.

The wound is healing nicely...no signs of infection! One can definitely see where the pipe came in and tore out, so we'll be taking some pictures for our rapidly expanding legal file. We're going to begin the process beginning next week, once more medical information is gathered and we can determine if the school has done anything over the weekend.

Brenna has been a real trooper! It's still very tender (as one would imagine), and she can't quite sit right at the moment. But she walks around OK, and she doesn't ask for pain medication much at all. (She skipped it completely yesterday, and took it today because we were shopping and she was walking around more.) I expect her to be running around like usual by next weekend, at this rate! She's getting very tired of everyone constantly asking how she's doing; on the other hand, she likes the fact that she's being spoiled rotten...

So things are better now! We really appreciated all the good wishes and prayers for healing, as well as the advice...I'll be talking to a couple people privately on specific questions and thoughts concerning the legal side of it.
