Morticia: 1992-2006
Morticia started as a feral cat while she was a kitten. She then spent a year in the no-kill shelter where we found her in 1994. Ticia spent a couple years hiding under the bed before realizing that she had a safe home. In recent years, she has been a loving lap cat, even with strangers.
Morticia stopped eating about 10 days ago, and she lost more than half her body weight. She also couldn't control her bladder and lost more than 90% of her kidney function. Morticia lived almost twice as long as we were told to expect when we brought her home.
Morticia died last night at roughly the age of 14. She leaves a hole in our family that will be impossible to fill.
